Privacy and contact
The short version: this website collects nothing, and the Cresci Code app keeps your work on your Mac. Last updated 5 October 2026.
This website
The site sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and loads no third-party scripts, fonts or images. It has no forms and no account.
It is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser, page requested, time) to deliver the site and protect it from abuse, under the Cloudflare privacy policy. We add nothing to those logs and we do not use them to build profiles of visitors.
Release notifications
Before the Mac app is released, the page offers to email us to be notified. If you do, we receive your email address and your message. We use them only to tell you when Cresci Code for Mac is released, we do not share them, and we do not add you to any other list.
Email to our address is forwarded by Cloudflare Email Routing to our mailbox at Google (Gmail). To have your address deleted, write to us at any time.
The Cresci Code app
- Your data stays on your Mac. Chats, projects, history and settings are saved on the Mac that runs Cresci Code. The app has no Cresci account and sends none of this to us.
- Model providers. When you send a request to a model, it goes from your Mac to the provider you connected (for example Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, xAI, DeepSeek or Mistral), with your own account or API key. That provider’s terms and privacy policy apply to that traffic. Claude Code and Codex are the providers’ own command-line clients, installed on your Mac.
- Optional remote access. The app can be made reachable from another device through an HTTPS address that you set up yourself. It is off unless you turn it on: each device is paired once, can be disconnected at any time, and the mode can be turned off. While it is on, your chats travel between your Mac and that device through the connection you chose, under the terms of the service you use for it; we do not store them.
- Microphone and dictation. The app uses the microphone only while you dictate a message or give a voice command, after macOS asks for your permission. Depending on what your Mac supports and what you choose in Settings, your speech is turned into text on your Mac (Apple’s on-device speech recognition or a local Whisper model), or the recording is sent for transcription to a provider you connected: OpenAI, through your ChatGPT sign-in in Codex, which may also tidy up the text, or Groq, with your own Groq API key. Recordings are not sent to us.
- Everything is opt-in. macOS asks for every other permission only when you use a feature that needs it: Messages (the app reads your Messages history on this Mac when you search it, and sends a message only after you confirm the exact chat and text in a macOS dialog), screen recording and Accessibility (for features that look at or control the screen), and the folders you open as projects. You can revoke any of them in System Settings, Privacy and Security.
- No statistics for us. The app has no analytics or crash reporting of its own. Claude Code and Codex keep their own settings and data practices, set by their providers. When a public release checks for updates, it downloads a small version file from downloads.crescicode.com, with no chats, projects or account data.
